In response to the urgent need to expand a competent laparoscopic workforce, WiSA is partnering with the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) to bring a 2-Day Laparoscopic Training Course on Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) exclusively to WiSA members.
The FLS online curriculum provides a comprehensive set of cognitive knowledge and manual skills to guide surgical trainees and practicing surgeons in the performance of basic laparoscopic surgery, in the safe learning environment of simulation. The FLS test is a validated exam with a written and a manual skills portion. Over 32,000 surgeons across the globe have taken this test to certify their laparoscopic proficiency. This 2-Day laparoscopic workshop will take place on Dec 1-2, at Rainbow Towers Hotel. Registration fee is $30. Participants will have the opportunity to take the FLS exam December 4-6th at the University of Zimbabwe International Centre for Surgical Simulation at a reduced price of $150 (a $500 USD value). Space is limited, registration is based on a first-come first-serve basis.
